Effective September 2026Last updated September 2026

Sarah Ansboury Pickleball Academy ("Sarah Ansboury," "we," "us," or "our") is based in the United States and provides on-court clinics, camps and player development, consulting for federations, clubs, resorts and education organizations, and media, commentary and speaking services. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect personal information in connection with our website, sarahansboury.com, the inquiry forms on it, and the services described above (collectively, the "Services").

Online courses, video lessons, eBooks and memberships offered through the Online Pickleball Academy are provided on a separate third-party learning platform with its own account, payment and privacy terms (see Section 06). Coach education and certification are provided by Global Pickleball Academy under its own policies.

By accessing or using the Services, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

01 — Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us through our inquiry forms and communications, including your name, email address, organization and organization type, country and city, the type of clinic, camp, player development, consulting or media engagement you are interested in, preferred dates or windows, event scale and topic, and the content of your message.

We may also automatically collect certain information when you use the website, including IP address, browser and device information, operating system, referring pages, pages viewed, and approximate location derived from IP address. Our inquiry forms use a bot-protection service that analyzes browser signals to distinguish people from automated programs.

This website does not display pricing, process payments, or collect payment card details.

02 — How We Use Information

We may use personal information to:

  • Respond to your inquiry and communicate with you;
  • Plan, schedule, and deliver clinics, camps, player development, consulting, and media or speaking engagements;
  • Send updates and informational or marketing communications where permitted by law;
  • Operate, secure, and improve the website and the Services;
  • Detect and prevent spam, fraud, misuse, or unauthorized activity; and
  • Comply with legal, regulatory, tax, accounting, and contractual obligations.

Where applicable law requires a legal basis for processing personal information, we rely, as appropriate, on performance of a contract or steps taken at your request before entering into one, compliance with legal obligations, legitimate business interests, and consent.

Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw your consent at any time, subject to applicable law and without affecting the lawfulness of processing conducted before withdrawal.

04 — Cookies and Analytics

This website does not currently use analytics, advertising, or social-media tracking cookies. The only technology in use is a bot-protection service on our inquiry forms, which is strictly necessary for security.

If we introduce non-essential cookies or similar technologies in future, we will update our Cookie Policy first and, where required by applicable law, obtain your consent before using them.

05 — Disclosure of Information

We may disclose personal information to service providers that perform services on our behalf, including providers of website hosting, bot protection, email and communications, scheduling, and professional services.

Where you inquire about a clinic, camp, consulting engagement, or media or speaking appearance, we may share the information needed to arrange it with the venue, host club, federation, organization, broadcaster, or event partner involved. Where you ask about coach education or certification, we may refer your inquiry to Global Pickleball Academy.

We may also disclose information when required by law or legal process; to protect the rights, property, safety, or security of Sarah Ansboury or others; or in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, restructuring, sale of assets, or similar business transaction.

We do not sell personal information.

06 — Online Academy and Third-Party Platforms

The Online Pickleball Academy — including the "Member login," courses, video lessons, eBooks, and memberships — is hosted on a third-party learning platform. When you create an account, enroll, or make a purchase there, that platform collects and processes your information, including any payment information, under its own privacy policy and terms of use, which you should review. We may receive limited information from the platform, such as your name, email address, and enrollment status, in order to support you.

Free videos and resources are hosted on third-party video and social-media platforms, which apply their own privacy practices when you visit them.

07 — International Data Transfers

We are based in the United States. Personal information collected from individuals outside the United States may be transferred to, processed, and stored in the United States or other jurisdictions in which we or our service providers operate.

Where required by applicable law, we will implement appropriate safeguards for international transfers of personal information.

08 — Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your inquiry, deliver the Services, fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, comply with legal and regulatory obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

Retention periods may vary based on the nature of the information and applicable legal requirements.

09 — Privacy Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights concerning your personal information, including the right to request access, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, portability, or information regarding our processing practices; object to certain processing; withdraw consent; or opt out of certain communications or uses of personal information.

Applicable rights and exceptions vary by jurisdiction. Residents of California and other U.S. states with comprehensive privacy laws may exercise the rights those laws provide to the extent they apply to us; we do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

We may take reasonable steps to verify your identity before processing a privacy request.

Privacy requests may be submitted to: hello@sarahansboury.com

Individuals may also have the right to lodge a complaint with an applicable privacy or data protection authority.

10 — Marketing Communications

You may opt out of marketing emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link provided in the communication or by contacting us.

Opting out of marketing communications will not prevent us from sending transactional, administrative, security, or other service-related communications about an inquiry, booking, or engagement.

11 — Information Security

We maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, use, disclosure, alteration, loss, or destruction.

No method of transmission or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12 — Children's Privacy

Our website and inquiry forms are for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child below the age of digital consent — 16 in the European Economic Area (or lower where a member state allows, but never below 13), 13 in the United Kingdom and the United States, or the age set by local law — without a parent's or legal guardian's consent.

Clinics, camps and player development may include junior players. A parent or legal guardian must make any inquiry or registration on a child's behalf and give consent, which we take reasonable steps to verify as the GDPR and other children's-privacy laws require. A child cannot register on their own.

We collect only what the program needs — typically the child's name, age and playing level. We never use children's information for marketing, advertising or profiling, and we never sell it. It is shared only with the coaches, venues and service providers who help deliver the program, or where the law requires.

Parents and legal guardians can review, correct or delete their child's information, or withdraw consent, at any time by contacting us (Section 15). We delete children's information once it is no longer needed. If you believe a child has given us information without permission, contact us and we will remove it.

The Services contain links to third-party websites, applications, and services, including the Online Pickleball Academy platform, Global Pickleball Academy, and our social-media and video channels. These are ordinary links; we do not embed social-media content, plugins, or tracking pixels on the website. We are not responsible for the privacy, security, or data practices of third parties, and you should review their privacy policies before providing personal information.

14 — Changes to This Policy

We may amend this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any revised policy will be posted with an updated "Last Updated" date. Where required by law, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent for material changes.
